Additional Barrel Depth for Narrow and Layered Screen Strips

This long-barrel eyelet is designed for small cord, thread and connection openings in narrow pleated insect screen systems where the strip is folded, layered or too thick for the standard barrel.

The eyelet has a 4.5 mm / 0.177 in inner diameter, 8.3 mm / 0.327 in outer diameter and 7.3 mm / 0.287 in barrel height.

The longer barrel helps the eyelet pass through additional screen layers. A metal or plastic washer supports the rear side and helps distribute the holding force across a wider contact area.

When Is the Long-Barrel Version Suitable?

• When the standard barrel does not reach through the screen layers
• For narrow folded or layered screen strips
• When a 4.5 mm / 0.177 in cord passage is required
• When larger eyelets occupy too much strip width

Standard Barrel or Long Barrel?

The standard version has a 5.3 mm / 0.209 in barrel. The long version has a 7.3 mm / 0.287 in barrel.

Select the long version when additional reach is needed through folded or layered screen material. On thin strips, excess barrel length may close unevenly.

Why Use a Washer?

A washer increases the rear contact area and helps hold the screen material more evenly between the eyelet and washer.

This can help reduce pulling and slipping around the opening when the hole, setting die and press force are correctly matched.

Metal and plastic washers are separate options and are not supplied together as one selection.
