Extra Barrel Depth for Thick and Layered Materials

This compact long-barrel sheet steel eyelet provides a clean metal finish around small openings in thick fabrics, layered textiles, leather, synthetic leather, cardboard, belts, bags, footwear, tags and craft products.

The 4.5 mm / 0.177 in opening accommodates thin laces, cords and strings. The 8.3 mm / 0.327 in outer flange covers the edge of the opening, while the 7.3 mm / 0.287 in barrel is formed over the selected washer during installation.

Dimensions and Options

Standard Barrel or Long Barrel?

The standard version has a 5.3 mm / 0.209 in barrel. This version has a 7.3 mm / 0.287 in barrel and provides an additional 2 mm / 0.079 in of depth.

The extra length can help the eyelet reach through thicker or layered materials. On thin materials, the additional barrel may fold or close unevenly, so a sample test is required.

Washer and Finish Selection

A plastic washer may be selected for suitable textile, tag and cardboard applications where a lighter rear support is preferred.

A metal washer may be selected for footwear, bags, belts and leather goods requiring a traditional all-metal rear finish.

Finish choices include nickel, black nickel, antique brass and gunmetal.

Plastic and metal washers are separate product options and must not be displayed as included together.

Choosing the Installation Tool

Use a setting die designed for approximately 4.5–5 mm / 0.177–0.197 in inner diameter eyelets. The actual eyelet, washer, material and die must be tested together because barrel height affects the final closure.

Package Information

The base package contains 250 eyelet capsules. Quantities of 1,000 and 5,000 pieces are also available. Washer type and finish are selected when ordering.
