Setting Die Compatibility: Check More Than the Diameter

A visible diameter match does not guarantee die compatibility. The fastener system, cap construction, socket, stud, post, washer, lower component and material thickness must be considered together.

The 11 dies supplied with this kit are selected for the included M0099 manual hand press and the listed components. When ordering a new die for this machine, select the connection option specified for the M0099 press.

M6 Thread Information for US and International Machines

If a setting die will be used with a press purchased in the United States or another international market, check the upper die thread before ordering. Many imported and international machines use an M6 metric connection, but not every machine follows the same standard.

M6 and 1/4"-20 UNC are not interchangeable. Their diameters may appear similar, but their thread pitch and profile are different. Never force an M6 die into a 1/4"-20 threaded machine connection.

Eyelet Hole Preparation

This package includes the setting die for the listed No. 24 eyelet. A separate hole-punching die is not listed among the included tools. Depending on the application material and eyelet construction, you may need to prepare a correctly sized hole before setting the eyelet.
